Participants are encouraged to use the LGH marathon’s official transportation to the start of the race on Sunday March 17. The Transportation Selection Deadline is 11:59 p.m. on March 16.

The LGH Marathon provides a very scenic Official Transportation to the runners participating in the race.

Entrants must select their departure location and time in order to receive an Official Transportation assignment. Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. To assist us with planning, entrants should select “I Do or I Do Not Need Transportation” on the application.

Please note: Official Transportation is for marathon entrants only and will pick up everyone in front of their hotel promptly. Each hotel has its designated transportation. Do not attempt to get on a different hotel’s transportation because you want to be next to your friend who is staying at a different hotel. You will have to show your bib race number, chip and your hotel reservation in order to be permitted to get on the transportation vehicle.

  • Private vehicles coming to the race must drop off their runner(s) and clear out by 5:00 am before the roads are closed to vehicular traffic.

  • Private vehicles, are not allowed into the staging area and are not guaranteed on-time arrival.

  • Marathon’s Route will be operational only on one side promptly at 5:00 am from the starting point of the race to the finish.

  • Private vehicles are allowed for participant drop-offs only. There is no public parking near the start.

  • The walk from the drop-off area to the staging area is approximately one half-mile.

  • If you arrive in a private vehicle, you will have to show your race number and chip in order to be permitted to walk to the staging area.
